Corey Conners has pulled out of the US Open ahead of Sunday’s final round.

When Corey Conners lined up a bunker shot during a practice round ahead of the 125th US Open, not many could have predicted it would lead to him having to withdraw a few days later.

The Canadian’s caddie, Danny Sahl, according to TSN‘s Bob Weeks, said Conners hurt his wrist when his club struck the cable of a TV camera hidden in the lip of the trap.

He then aggravated it while swiping at a plugged ball in the sand during Saturday’s third round.

After requesting medical attention, Conners played on and was 8-over-par – 12 off overnight leader Sam Burns – when he signed his scorecard, but decided to WD before his tee time alongside Ryan Fox on Sunday.
