The US Open weather forecast for Oakmont looks promising.

It looks like it’s going to be a touch-and-go for the final two days at Oakmont. Let’s hope the golf can live up to it. Here’s the US Open weather forecast…

Mother Nature did her best to throw a spanner in the works at the season’s first two majors, with heavy rain disrupting both the Masters and PGA Championship, and a Friday evening suspension at the US Open due to dangerous weather. And now it looks like the forecast could disrupt the weekend’s play at Oakmont, too.

Despite a few scattered showers and thunderstorms being forecast, the Pittsburgh area was bathed in sunshine for the majority of the first two days of the tournament, with very little wind. Inclement weather eventually rolled in on Friday evening, suspending play at 8.15pm EST.

The weekend’s weather is looking a little unsettled with possible lightning on Saturday, and winds predicted to pick up on Sunday. Oakmont isn’t called “The Beast” for nothing, and will continue to provide a challenge for the field when moving day gets underway.
