Record prize purse announced for 2025 PGA Championship

Players at Quail Hollow will be competing for the largest PGA Championship purse ever.
The PGA of America have announced that those teeing up at Quail Hollow will be battling for a record PGA Championship purse.
The prize money for the 107th playing of what is now the second major in the men’s calendar is $19 million, an increase of $500,000 from the $18.5 million dished out in 2024.
The winner’s share will also increase to $3.42 million. Last year’s champion Xander Schauffele banked $3.3 million last time out.
The runner-up in Charlotte will receive $2.052m, while the 82 players who missed the cut will receive $4,000.
The prize fund has seen a huge jump in the last five years. When Collin Morikawa won at TPC Harding Park in 2020 he won $1.98m from a $10.5m purse.
