6. Sutherland Bunker
AG Sutherland complained when it was filled in, but it fell on deaf ears. After a particularly good dinner party on August 10th, 1869, two guests of John Blackwood (who both became Captains of The R&A) restored the hazard. They left a piece of paper with ‘Sutherland’ written on it in the bunker.
