Brooks Koepka WD’s from LIV Golf Dallas in most spectacular way possible

Brooks Koepka smashed a tee marker before withdrawing from LIV Golf Dallas at Maridoe Golf Club.

There’s quietly withdrawing from a tournament, then there’s this from Brooks Koepka…

Brooks Koepka is not one to do things the easy way.

The Smash GC captain had been struggling with illness in the build up to LIV Golf Dallas and, despite an opening-hole birdie at Maridoe Golf Club, disaster was not far away.

Koepka carded triple bogeys at both the 5th and 7th, and when he hit a poor drive at the 9th, the tee marker took the full brunt of his frustration.

Arguably his best swing of the day right there.

Koepka went onto drop another shot and by the time he reached the 16th tee he was 9-over and had clearly had enough.

The five-time major champ called it a day with three holes to play.

A short statement from LIV Golf said the 35-year-old “has been feeling under the weather all week”.

It also said Koepka “is eligible to return for rounds 2 and 3, with his score being counted only toward Smash GC’s team score”.
