There is $10m up for grabs in Dubai, a $1m increase on 2021, with the winner receiving $3m and the stunning trophy.

Rory McIlroy successfully defended the CJ Cup to return to World No.1 for a ninth time.

World No.1 McIlroy leads the standings heading into the tournament and will look to complete an incredible season by adding the DP World Tour crown to the FedEx Cup.

New Zealand’s Ryan Fox is on McIlroy’s coattails after a superb season which has seen him win the Ras Al Khaimah Classic, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and finish as runner-up on four other occasions.

Matt Fitzpatrick won the 2022 US Open at Brookline.

US Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick, Ryder Cup star Viktor Hovland and last week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge winner Tommy Fleetwood make up the top five in the season-long rankings and will be hoping for a good week to pip McIlroy.
