Greg Norman has officially left his role at LIV Golf.

What’s next for Greg Norman as his four-year spell at the helm of LIV Golf finishes?

Greg Norman’s time at LIV Golf is officially over.

The two-time Open champion was LIV’s first commissioner and helped shaped the league become what it is today. He was replaced by Scott O’Neil in February.

“First and foremost, congratulations to Scott,” Norman said at the time. “He is exactly the type of experienced professional who understands the unique and powerful combination of entertainment and sports that LIV Golf exemplifies.

“The league will be in very good hands with him at the helm. I started this journey more than 30 years ago, knowing in my heart and mind that the game of golf and its professional players were undervalued, delivering a product that felt stagnant.”

It was revealed that Norman would be kept on until the end of the 2026 season in an advisory role. But with the campaign over, so is the Australian’s time at LIV Golf.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Norman wrote: “After four unforgettable years, I have officially closed out my time with LIV Golf, and reflecting with nothing but gratitude, pride and achievement.

“Together, we built a movement that changed the game globally. We created opportunities for both players and fans and broaden the ecosystem of golf.

“We truly globalized the game and expanded golf’s reach to fans around the world. We brought entertainment, innovation and private equity into golf (including to the PGA Tour) positioning the sport as an asset class.

“It’s been an incredible chapter, and I’m so proud of what we accomplished. My commitment to do what was, and still is, the right thing for golf, the players and fans never wavered.

“Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey with me during this time. I’ll always look back on this time with great fulfillment and appreciation.”

He concluded: “As for what’s next… stay tuned! Exciting times ahead. Onward to the next adventure.”

We already know that Norman will serve as an independent director on the board of the organizing committee as the Olympic Games head to Brisbane in 2032, with the golf tournament set to take place at his old stomping ground of Royal Queensland.

With business interests that stretch from golf course design, apparel, wine, restaurants, real estate and leisure parks, we can’t imagine he’ll be away for long.
