They’ve been married since 2019 and have three children, but who is Jon Rahm’s wife? Here’s everything you need to know about Kelley Cahill.

Whenever Jon Rahm is in contention in a tournament, the camera will often pan to a shot of Kelley Cahill showing her support.

From his first PGA Tour win at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2017 to his major victories and Ryder Cup successes, Cahill has always been on hand, more recently with the couple’s three children joining her.

Rahm and Cahill, who were born nine months apart in 1994 (Cahill in February, Rahm in November), met at a Halloween party while at Arizona State University, where, like her husband, she was an exceptional athlete.

She competed in javelin for the track and field team, was a talented tennis player, could box and “throws a mean spiral” with a football, according to Rahm.

Cahill, who hails from Oregon, says Rahm’s competitive nature doesn’t leave him when he’s off the golf course.

“He’s killing forehands … crosscourt zingers, and I’m thinking, ‘This can’t be right’,” she said of her husband’s tennis skills.

“He was so good. I was so upset. I was actually mad for a day or two. We have not stepped foot on a tennis court since.”

Rahm, however, has drawn the line at taking on Cahill at her No.1 sport.

“[Javelin’s] such a weird motion. You have to rely on overhand strength, and as a golfer, that’s not something I have. She has a lot more overhand strength than I do. And I didn’t want to injure myself.”

They began dating ahead of graduation and moved in together in 2017. They got engaged in June 2018, just before the US Open… with the help of fellow golf pro Brian Stuard.

“[His] fiancée or wife is a jeweller and is a really good friend of ours, Rahm told GOLF.com.

“She knew what Kelley wanted, but I had my own ideas. Basically, with her help, I designed the ring.

“She wanted to pick the diamond, but I knew what I wanted,” the Spanish pro said.

“It’s supposed to look like a crown and an engraving inside. I had a big part in it. It wasn’t exactly what she wanted, but she loves it. It’s a little more personal like that.”

The pair tied the knot in a Catholic ceremony on December 13, 2019, in the Basque region of Bilbao, Spain, near Rahm’s hometown of Barrika. They married in the church the golfer had attended with his grandmother as a child.

Rahm later shared photos of him and Cahill walking down the aisle as newlyweds.

“Last Friday was the best day of my life, it was a dream wedding in my hometown Bilbao with my beautiful college sweetheart and my better half and now Kelley Rahm,” he captioned the Instagram post. “The Basilica de Begoña is a very special place for me and my family so it was an honor to marry her there. Couldn’t think of a better way to end the year!”

The couple quickly became a family when they welcomed Kepa on April 3, 2021, with their second son, Aneko, following on August 5, 2022. Daughter Alaia was their most recent arrival, born in September 2024. The family lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Speaking in June 2021, Rahm told Golf Channel that Kepa’s arrival had changed his mindset.

“Now I have a son, somebody who is dependent on me who is going to learn a lot of things from me like I did from my dad,” he said. “This cannot happen [negative reactions to losses], I cannot do some of the things I’ve done in the past that I truly regret.”

The Ryder Cup star, who joined LIV Golf for a reported nine-figure fee in December 2023, is one of the most passionate and knowledgable golfers in the game but has said “raising a family and being a good husband” is all he truly cares about.

“Don’t get me wrong — I want to be the best golfer I can be. If I had a gun to my head and had to choose between having only one or the other, I wouldn’t pick golf … I’d choose family every time,” he told Golf Digest.

Jon Rahm won the US Open on Father's Day 2021, just weeks after he and wife Kelley Cahill welcome son, Kepa.

Rahm’s first major win came just weeks after Kepa’s birth as he lifted the US Open trophy at Torrey Pines on his first Father’s Day in front of his wife and their infant son.

Cahill was also on hand with the couple’s two sons when Rahm became World No.1 at the 2023 Genesis Invitational and shared a tearful celebration with her husband and sons when he slipped on his first Green Jacket at Augusta in 2023. She has also teed it up alongside her husband and children in the Masters Par 3 Contest.

Cahill began watching Rahm play golf at ASU and the big-hitting Callaway star posted a gushing tribute to her when he graduated in spring 2016.

“Special mention to @cahillkelley for being a great girlfriend and supporting me all semester both on and of the course, she has watched me play more golf than my parents have in the last 4 years Love You,” Rahm wrote underneath a collage on Instagram.
