LIV Golf 2026 schedule leaked: two brand new events – and two axed
Last updated:

A leaked draft of LIV Golf’s 2026 schedule shows new destinations and unexpected tournaments cut – here’s what you need to know.
We’re nine events of the way through LIV Golf’s 14-tournament 2025 schedule – where does the time go, eh? – and already it’s time to look ahead to next year.
The 2026 LIV Golf schedule has been revealed by the Sports Business Journal, and although it has yet to be officially confirmed by LIV, sources suggest the locations are “100 per cent” locked in.
The draft schedule includes two new events – in South Africa and New Orleans – but the total number of events is set to stay the same as this year, meaning two existing tournaments will be culled.
New LIV events for 2026
LIV is set to visit South Africa for the first time next year, a move that should please the Stinger GC team of Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Dean Burmester, and Branden Grace. There is no news on a venue yet.
The other new event will be in New Orleans, with Bayou Oaks touted as the probable venue. Reports suggest Louisiana will spend $7 million in public funds to bring LIV to the state – with $5 million going directly to LIV as a hosting fee and $2 million to be spent upgrading the course.
Current LIV events dropped for 2026
LIV Golf Miami and LIV Golf Dallas are both notably absent from the 2026 schedule. Trump Doral has hosted a LIV event every year since the league began but won’t return next season. Dallas, which staged the season-ending 2024 Team Championship and a standard event this year, also looks set to miss out.
The removal of Trump Doral looks like a blow to US President Donald Trump, even as his stake in tour golf grows elsewhere with a new DP World Tour event at Trump International Golf Links and a possible return to Turnberry for the Open Championship.
