LIV Golf to increase prize money in 2026

The purse at each LIV Golf event will increase from next year, according to reports.
LIV Golf’s prize money pots are set to get even bigger from next season.
Each tournament on the league’s schedule features a $25 million purse – $20 million of which is split among the 54 players in the individual standings.
However, the remaining $5 million – which has, until this season, dished out to the top three teams – will double and be spread among all 13 teams dependent on finishing position.
According to sources cited by the Sports Business Journal, this is LIV Golf’s next step in investing in team operations.
But while new players are expected to join LIV, the gargantuan signing-on bonuses that were dished out in the league’s first two years will no longer be offered, with the onus being on the teams – which operate independently to sign commercial deals and players – to bring in their own star power.
TG has reached out to LIV Golf for confirmation on the report.
