Meet Matt Fitzpatrick’s man on the bag, Daniel Parratt.

As of 2025, Daniel Parratt has taken on the role of full-time caddie for 2022 US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick, following the departure of long-time looper Billy Foster. Parratt has nearly two decades of experience on both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

Born in Bristol, England, Parratt has been a professional caddie since 2009. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside many elite golfers including Byeong Hun An, K.H. Lee, Calum Hill, Alex Noren, Thorbjorn Olesen, and Robert Karlsson.

His experience spans some of golf’s most prestigious tournaments, including the Presidents Cup, the Eurasia Cup, and the Seve Trophy.

In early 2025, following Foster’s announcement that he would be stepping back from caddying duties due to the physical demands of frequent travel, Fitzpatrick turned to Parratt to fill in temporarily, job-sharing with Foster.

After several weeks of working together, Fitzpatrick made the switch permanent in March. While results have yet to match the heights of past successes, the rapport between the two has been evident on the course and Fitzpatrick’s form has been on an upward trajectory.

Off course, Parratt is married to Gemma, and the couple have two sons: Brooks, born in 2016, and Casey, born in 2018.

With three professional wins, multiple international team appearances, and almost two decades on tour, Parratt offers Fitzpatrick a blend of experience and support.
