Katherine Gaal and Matt Fitzpatrick went public with their relationship in January 2023, when they appeared together at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui. Their red-carpet debut followed just a month later at the premiere of Netflix’s golf docuseries Full Swing, which featured Fitzpatrick among the cast.
From there, the couple became a fixture at high-profile events, including Wimbledon and several PGA Tour stops.
Gaal was there to celebrate with Fitzpatrick on the 18th green after his playoff victory over Jordan Spieth at the 2023 RBC Heritage, one of his most emotional wins. Born in New Jersey, Katherine Gaal is an accomplished professional in her own right. She holds a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Finance from Penn State University, and she’s worked in both education and corporate marketing. Most recently, she served as a marketing manager for a software development company based in New Jersey.
A shared love for sport
Outside of her corporate career, Gaal has a background in sports and pageantry. She previously worked as a tennis professional at the Bay Head Yacht Club and was the first runner-up in the 2013 Miss New Jersey USA pageant.
