Viktor Hovland has had a rollercoaster start to life on the PGA Tour.

After finishing as the low am at the Masters and US Open in 2019, the Norwegian turned pro and he needed just seven months to get his maiden win – and a first PGA Tour title for Norway.

Hovland has since added six more and has played in two Ryder Cups – the defeat at Whistling Straits and the victory in Rome, in which he teamed up with Ludvig Aberg to beat Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka 9&7.

While he is yet to get over the line in a major, he does have four top-10 finishes: T4 at the 2022 Open, T7 at the 2023 Masters, T2 at that year’s PGA Championship, and a 3rd-place in the same competition 12 months later.

His T12 as an amateur remains his best finish in a US Open.

Good news, ladies! Hovland is currently single.

Well, if he is in a relationship – he is doing an incredible job of keeping it a secret. Hovland’s Instagram feed, which has more than 750,000 followers and is updated regularly, has no evidence that he is romantically linked with anyone.

Of course, that doesn’t mean he isn’t enjoying the bachelor lifestyle.

A couple of years ago someone posted screengrabs of his profile on dating app Tinder which were picked up by popular golf aggregator accounts…

Then, of course, there was the infamous moment at the 2023 Ryder Cup when the players were invited to kiss their partners for a photo op and Hovland and fellow singleton Jose Maria Olazabal made the most of the moment.
