Galvin Green Lance Interface jacket – £230
WHY IT’S WON: The Lance is made from Galvin Green’s new Interface-1 material, and it’s a revelation. The company says it can be worn for 95 out of 100 rounds, and we’d agree. It’s so light and flexible you barely know you’re wearing one, and it’s as easy to swing in as anything. But if you do get caught in a shower it’s well up to the task. It’s windproof, breathable and water repellent – and the modern design, especially in black and orange, looks fantastic.
Ping Zero Gravity jacket – £180
WHY IT’S WON: When four Today’s Golfer readers tested Ping’s Zero Gravity jacket, they couldn’t believe how light it was. It packs into the smallest of pockets, is fully waterproof with sealed seams and a three-year guarantee.
“It’s the lightest waterproof jacket I’ve ever come across,” said one.
“The quality is really good, and it’s quiet, which stands out over some waterproofs,” said another.
Under Armour ColdGear Reactor Hybrid – £65
WHY IT’S WON: Under Armour says the Reactor responds to your activity level to maintain an even body temperature, warming you up when you’re inactive, and cooling you down as you warm up. The fabric is low-profile, so you won’t look like the Michelin man. A firm favourite with Jordan Spieth – and us.
