Innovation of the year

TaylorMade’s Speed Injected Twist Face

Tiger used it to win the Masters. Rory used it to win the Players. DJ used it to win a WGC event. Brooks and Tommy use it without being paid. TaylorMade’s 2019 headline driver tech – Speed Injected Twist Face, found in the M5 and M6 – has done pretty well on Tour so far this year, and it seems to have resonated with consumers, too – you’ve voted it your Innovation of the Year.

In a nutshell, it sees ever driver face TaylorMade makes pushed beyond the legal limits, and then brought back just inside those limits by injecting tiny amounts of resin behind the face. We proved last year that Twist Face helps golfers hit it straighter from the heel and toe; Speed Injection gives the M5 and M6 even more pop, and ensures every driver off the production line is as close as it can be to the legal maximum for springiness.
