Apr13 Caddie for Els

You can bid for the chance to caddie for Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia at a top PGA Tour event.
Caddy For A Cure, the golf fantasy program where golf fans can be inside the ropes, carrying the bag for PGA Tour players, is open again for this year’s Wachovia Championship. Els, Garcia and Charley Hoffman are just three of the players taking part.
“Charlotte and the Quail Hollow Country Club are such beautiful destinations for the PGA Tour and Caddy For A Cure to come to,” says Russ Holden, program founder and veteran PGA Tour caddie.
“Our Caddy For A Cure program and the Wachovia Championship are a perfect fit since we are both committed to helping children. While the tournament has dedicated its proceeds to its Champions for Education, Inc. foundation, an organization formed to raise funds for education, Caddy For A Cure dedicates 100% of its proceeds to organizations aimed at helping children, too, whether for health, education or social needs,” explains Holden.
The way the Caddy For A Cure program works is online auctions through eBay are offered for the opportunity to caddie during the official practice round of a PGA Tour tournament. This enables the winners to be “inside the ropes” on the range, putting greens and golf course with the world’s best Tour players in a relaxed, yet still very professional, PGA Tour setting. They get to experience their player’s thought processes, practice routines and shot-making skills first-hand without the distraction of other amateur players or the stress of their own golf skills.
New to this year’s caddie opportunity is the inclusion of a free 3-day, 2-night golf vacation package for two with Bison Homes at their Torreon Golf Course. The Torreon Golf Course and Golf Villas are located in beautiful Show Low, AZ, just a 3-hour drive from Tucson or Phoenix. Two rounds of golf per person are included in the package.
The auctions for the Wachovia Championship close today. The caddie date is Tuesday, May 1st. Bidders can find the auctions through the auction links on the CFAC website at www.caddyforacure.com or directly through ebay.com by searching for Caddy For A Cure.
Caddy For A Cure, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that donates 100% of its proceeds to charity with all auction bids being tax deductible.
