Phil Mickelson will use two drivers at Augusta this week – including Callaway’s new square one.

The defending champion has been working for six months to develop the club, and he says “it’s the best possible driver for this course”.

He added: “The square one has a higher ball flight and is longer than the regular driver. THink of it more as a driver and a two-wood – I will use the square FT-i when I want to hit it long, and the regular FT-5 if I want to shape the ball.”

Hear Mickelson talk about his choice of driver, plus what else it will take for him to defent his title, in his full Tuesday press conference here.
