Lord March – owner of Golf at Goodwood in West Sussex – doesn’t do things by halves.
After successfully renovating Goodwood’s grand old James Braid-designed downland layout as well as creating a plush new Kennels clubhouse, Lord March has now taken over the reins of the former Marriott Goodwood Park Golf & Country Club which also lies on the Goodwood Estate.
The good Lord is becoming a big golfing ‘player’ and is obviously looking to put Goodwood on the golf map – it is of course already famed in motor and horse racing circles.
No other details were available but what is clear is that the deal has seen Lord March become the owner of a 94 rooms hotel, complete with Health Club facilities, and a 20-years-old par 72 parkland course.
