Aug1 yearrounders

Unfortunately that time of the year is fast creeping up: we’re well into summer (what summer you might well ask) and autumn and winter are both on the horizon so your golfing opportunities might well be restricted in the not-too-distant future. Or will they?…
In the November issue of Today’s Golfer we’re turning the spotlight on the Best of British…playable all-year round courses that is: courses, fairways and greens that are as much of a joy to play in December as they are in July.
Obviously linksy, sand-based courses will be well to the fore in our search but there should be a fair sprinking of inland courses too, specially when it comes to free-draining heathland-style venues.
So what course does it all-year round for you? If you know of a layout that’s got an impeccable playing track record – a course that very rarely closes – and you’re virtually guaranteed a game whatever the elements can conjour up, email me.
Rest assured, we’ll do our best to keep you on-course and your golf game red-hot 52 weeks and 365 days a year…
