Charity golf book heads to Sun City

Author of ‘The Social Golfer’ Ian Halliwell has taken his fundraising mission and his book to Sun City, South Africa.
The book is a travel and golf journal that takes you through Halliwell’s recovery from a stroke in December 2006.
The Sun CIty resort were so impressed with it that they’ve already taken a shipment of 200 copies.
“I know that there are many people out there who feel beaten by stroke,” he explained. “Progress can be so slow and frustrating that it often seems easier to just give up. Golf helped me focus on my recovery and I’m hoping that my journal will help others find their own motivator.”
So far ‘The Social Golfer’ has raised over £2,000 for The Stroke Association. It has just been added to Amazon and WHSmith’s online and is also available from www.thesocialgolfer.net.
