cobra pro mb irons win
Last updated:
Cobra’s new Pro MB irons have claimed their first Tour victory in the WGC-CA Championships at the weekend.
The new blade-like Cobra Pro MB irons have only just been uncovered on this site and yet in the hands of Geoff Ogilvy they rose to the top of the pile in Florida.
Using the new Cobra Pro MB irons he beat off all competition, including the seemingly unstoppable world number one Tiger Woods, to claim first place with the new golf irons.
Among the equipment trusted by Ogilvy for his success is the King Cobra Speed Pro D (9.5) driver, X Speed (13.0) fairway metal, new Pro MB (3-9) irons and a Pro CB 2-iron. Ogilvy averaged over 289 yards off the tee and displayed unerring consistency with his irons throughout the event, leading the field in Greens in Regulation with a 76.4 percentage.
Ogilvy’s new King Cobra Pro MB irons have been created in collaboration with the Aussie and other members of the Cobra’s Tour stable. The Pro MB Irons give accomplished players the soft feel of forged 1020 carbon steel along with the refinement that comes with superior engineering. The longer hosel is ideal for players who prefer a high degree of ball control, while the thin topline and rounded sole camber further aid control and feedback. The end result: Solid striking muscle-back irons with a higher level of playability Cobra Tour pros are raving about.
Geoff Ogilvy’s win follows hot on the heels of fellow Cobra ambassador JB Holmes’ victory at the FBR Open last month with a new set of King Cobra Pro CB irons, Cobra’s forged cavity back alternative to the muscle back King Cobra Pro MB irons. Both new iron models will be available in the UK from April 1st.
