Fans’ favourite John Daly has spoken for the first time about his nightmare year that saw him lose his US Tour card.
The big-hitting American failed to pick up a cheque for more than £50,000 at any event. He suffered several injuries and his wife Sherrie was jailed fro five months after admitting fraud.
He said: “The injuries killed me this year. I had sciatic fever in my back and that cost me six or seven weeks and then, later in the year, I broke my little finger. It was just one thing after another.”
He will rely on sponsor’s exemptions for 2007.
