This Week’s Event – Verizon Heritage

Trevor Immelman sublimely drove his way to The Masters, earning 148 points for anyone whose crystal ball told them to use £2.2 million of their £15 million kitty on the South African, but which players are going to give you a shot at this week’s prize?

With many of the world’s top players taking the week off after the Masters or returning to Europe the verizon Heritage has a very different look to the star-studded field at Augusta.

Good ol’ Southern boy Boo Weekley hunted down his maiden PGA Tour victory at Harbour Town last year and he’ll be hopeful of another good result after finishing his debut Masters in the top 20.

Ones to Watch:
Ernie Els – The Big Easy was disappointed to miss the cut at The Masters, but his quality is sure to shine through this week.
Stewart Cink – The world number 14 has made a great start to 2008 with five top 20 finishes in eight starts and at £2 million he won’t drain your funds.
Sean O’Hair – The 2005 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year’s great form over the last year has made him the cheapest player in the world’s top 25 at just £1.2 million.
Bart Bryant – If you’ve splashed the cash elsewhere you can’t go wrong with your last £0.9 million on a man who’s only missed one cut in his last 19 starts.
