You could win a holiday in Spain and raise money for Children In Need in the process. We’ve teamed up with the Andalucia Tourist Board and the Leaderboard group of courses to offer you the chance to do this, by taking part in the 2007 Andalucia Golf Challenge. It will be held at five courses this year: *Chart Hills, near Ashford in Kent. The five events raised £15,790.31 for Children In Need in 2006, but the organisers want to beat that total this year. They are open to all golfers, and a fourball team will cost about £260 to enter, including breakfast, 18 holes, dinner and the presentation. Prizes at each event will consist of a three-day golf holiday, including accommodation in a four-star hotel, golf and buggy. Flights will be courtesy of the Andalucia Tourist Office. Highlights from the Oxfordshire Premiership footballers Graeme Murty and Marcus Hahnemann helped to raise more than £15,000 for Children In Need in the first Andalucia Golf Challenge. The Leaderboard-owned Oxfordshire Golf Club held two fundraising days to coincide with the BBC’s appeal in November, and the two Reading stars played their part as more than 200 golfers took part. The main prizes for the team stableford event were provided by the Andalucia Tourist Office, which put up holidays in Spain for the winners of each day. Martin Harris, The Oxfordshire general manager, said: “We would like to thank everybody connected with our Children In Need days, not just those who took part but also those companies and individuals who donated prizes and time.” The Andalucía Golf Challenge will sponsor more than 80 events in the UK this year, offering three-day golf holidays to the winners.
