TaylorMade has revealed a slick-looking new rescue club.
The company single-handedly ignited golfers passion for rescue clubs with the Rescue Mid about six years ago and now it reckons it’s moved things on again.
Their latest design concentrates on making rescues more attractive to the better golfer. The new TP Rescue has the centre of gravity located nearer the face, making it easier to shape shots and give a more penetrating flight.
The less offset head is also more appealing to better golfers. We expect there will be a full range of loft and shaft options, with a neutral bias instead of the companies more familiar movable weight technology.
The firm revealed the club at a golf show in America and were keeping quiet about release dates and prices, but TG expects it to cost around the same as the current model – the Dual at £139.
Some can already be seen in tour players bags.
