Karrie Webb shot a one under 71 to take the lead in the Women’s Australian Open.

Webb leads by one shot from Taiwan’s Wei Yun-lye. Webb, playing for the first time in two months, said: “My distance control wasn’t great. I’m pretty happy to get away with one under..”

First round leader Sarah Kemp shot a disappointing 78 with and eight on the 16th.

Britain’s Laura Davies made the cut after shooting a 77.
