Some of the World’s leading players took part in a challenge match which preceded this year’s Dubai Desert Classic.

Hundreds of lucky spectators enjoyed an up-close and personal view of the skills of 12 stars of the game, including world number one Tiger Woods.

Woods played alongside his great friend and fellow PGA Tour player Mark O’Meara, in a matchplay format against Ryder Cup heroes Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke.

It was a close match, with Woods and O’Meara just pipping the European Duo by a shot.
