July11 lochlomondbirdie

Watch the birdie. No stone has been left unturned in a bid to ensure everything goes according to plan and without a hitch at this week’s Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
Nothing has been lefb to chance and that includes strategically placing a plastic toy Owl to guard the 6th green of the world-famous course.
The local seagulls have been taking a fancy to this particular ‘dancefloor’ so the quick-thinking greenkeeping staff came up with the novel way to protect iit. And the realistic, scary-looking – well ,to the pesky flock of gulls anyway – has really done the trick.
Commented a spokesman: “For some reason, the seagulls decided to pick on the 6th green but it seems the owl has frightened them off.”
