Former world number one Ian Woosnam says he is relishing the chance to compete again when he joins the Seniors Tour next year.
The Welshman, who captained Europe to their latest Ryder Cup victory last year at the K Club, is eligible for the Tour after his 50th birthday in March 2008.
He told Sky Sports: “In the Seniors golf I am looking forward to competing. Obviously playing on the regular tour, you are playing with these young guys who are hitting it miles past you but going over to the Seniors, I will be able to compete with them.
“We will all be driving it similar distances and there will be a bit of cameraderie between us all.”
Woosnam, who won the Masters in 1991, has been without a Tour title since his victory at the Volvo Championship back in 1997. He has also struggled with form this year, having failed to make a cut in six starts.
