These are the first pictures of Tiger’s new cub.
The intimate portraits of the new addition to the Woods family – Sam Alexis – were posted on TigerWoods.com today.
Tiger’s wife, Swedish beauty Elin Nordegren gave birth to their baby daughter on June 18, the day after the world’s No.1 golfer finished second in the US Open.
Some of the images show the extended members of the Woods family: Taz, a border collie, and Yogi, a white “labradoodle”.
Cradling his new-born, Tiger looks every inch the caring father.
The world’s number one golfer had previously said he would miss a major competition to witness the birth of his first child.
But in the end Elin gave birth to Sam Alexis Woods less than 24 hours after he narrowly missed out on the US Open title last week.
Calling it a “special time”, Woods has said the birth of his daughter might affect how much golf he plays in the future.
On his official website, he wrote: “Both Elin and Sam are doing well and resting peacefully.
“We want to thank our doctors and the hospital staff for all their dedicated and hard work.
“This is truly a special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends over the next few weeks.”
