june 13 UK’s first golf school for lefties

Struggling left-handed golfers no longer have to put up with lessons the wrong way round because the UK’s first golf school for lefties has just opened its doors.
It’s being run by left-handed PGA professional Jeremy Dale at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel and Sporting Estate in Leicestershire.
Dale, who is most famous for his golf trick-shot shows where he swings the club both right and left handed, says: “Left handed golfers are a minority and often discriminated against. Many new players are encouraged to take up the game right handed by coaches because suitable equipment is easier to find.”
“My left-handed Scoring Schools are a unique opportunity for golfers to make big improvements to their golf game in a supportive, group environment, with a left-handed instructor modelling everything the right way round.”
The Scoring Schools are intended to help golfers improve their scores without changing their swings. The clinic offers a fun, structured approach to improving the important scoring shots with the driver, wedge and putter.
“Golfers who want to learn in a less technical way have made dramatic improvements after attending my Scoring School,” Dale adds. “Last month, an 18-handicap pupil called to say he had broken 80 for the first time and knocked three shots off his handicap. It is a question of getting better at the shots that make most difference to the score.”
Dale’s Scoring Schools are being held on July 29 and August 12, and run from 9am to 4.45pm. The cost is £147.50 per person including lunch, coffee and range balls. For more information visit www.jeremydale.com
