Scot Colin Montgomerie has turned to local caddie Billy Goddard for the US Open which starts on Thursday at Oakmont.

The 62-year-old Goddard has been caddying at the Pennsylvania club for 48 years and Montgomerie opted to make use of his expererience.

The 43-year-old split with regular bagman Alastair McLean after missing the cut at the Austrian Open last week following two disappointing rounds in Vienna.
