Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Resort has hosted David Seaman’s Safe Hands Charity Golf Classic for the sixth year running, in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The two-day competition sponsored by Hertz Car Rental was a huge success raising more than £150,000 for the charity.
23 teams took part, playing alongside David Seaman and personalities from the world of sport and entertainment. The final winners with a score of 82 were John Peavoy, Geoffrey Vickers and Noel Barker who formed the Sportax team, captained by the host himself – David Seaman.
Other celebrities who took part in the event included Kriss Akabusi, former Arsenal footballers Martin Keown, Graham Rix, Nigel Winterburn, Ray Parlour, Frank McClintock MBE and legendary goalkeeper and commentator – Bob Wilson.
