Bradley Dredge is joint leader of the Wales Open after storming around Celtic Manor in just 65 shots on Saturday.
The Welshman is desperate to win on home soil, but is being pushed hard by German hotshot Martin Kaymer.
Dredge, 33, from Tredegar, said: “I am feeling really good and it is nice to have a bit of support. Your home Open is the one you want to win the most after a Major.
“I will be trying my very best to win on Sunday.”
Kaymer is just 22 and showed no fear as he climbed to the top of the leaderboard with Dredge at 10 under. “Things have gone very well for me since I turned pro last year.”
Nick Dougherty continues his good form and is only three shots off the lead. And former US Open champion Michael Campbell isn;t totally out of it at six under. But he’ll have to go super-low to catch Dredge and Kaymer.
