Admit it, how many times have you gone on a golfing holiday and struggled in vain to squeeze your precious golf gear into the boot of your car? It can be a real pain attempting to cram everything in can’t it?
But fret no more: Leading car hire company Auto Europe have recently conducted a comprehensive survey into what cars are best – in terms of carrying luggage that is – for various activity holidays, including golf of course. And what came out on top of the pile in their investigation?
Well Auto Europe first recommend a ‘compact’ sized car and as far as golf kit is concerned, the Ford Focus is riding high on top of the leaderboard thanks to its lovely, deep and roomy trunk. The Auto Europe expert said: “It’s surprising how much you need for a golfing weekend, but the deep luggage compartment of the Focus rises to the challenge. Despite its ‘compact’ label, this car is spacious enough to carry larger items of luggage and is the perfect car hire for a golf break.”
