May4 New adidasshoes

These are the latest designs for the 2007 version of adidas’s Tour 360 shoes.

The Limited Edition Collection is inspired by adidas’s golfers on the major tours around the world, and comes in tour-inspired colours.

Available with an RRP of £119.99, the Tour 360 II Limited Edition Collection is available in white/university red/clementine; white/rainforest/metallic silver; white/navy/metallic blade.

The shoes have also been tweaked for this year, to make them even more useful and comfortable.

“The performance advancements to the Tour 360 II are the result of feedback from our Tour athletes and our pro staff,” says Dave Ortley, director of global footwear for adidas Golf.

“The Tour 360 II is fully loaded, complete with eight distinct technologies designed to deliver a level of performance never before available in the sport of golf. It was a distinct challenge to improve on our most technological and commercially successful product to date, but our design engineers have pulled it off.”

Technology incorporated into the Tour 360 II includes:

360WRAP+, an improvement over the 360WRAP technology in the Tour 360: The 360WRAP+ features an “articulated” midfoot support system which completely surrounds the foot, hugging every contour of the instep/outstep to keep the foot rock-solid and centered over the base.

3D FitFOAM – Three densities of foam in the sock liner create the ultimate performance foot bed. A polyurethane base layer provides outstanding support from heel to toe. A cushioning layer in the heel absorbs shock, while memory foam adapts to the contours of the athlete’s foot.

Anti-Clog outsole features newly designed, tapered, kidney shaped lugs that hold firmly and prevent slippage in all types of grass and conditions while remaining green-friendly. The smooth, polished surfaces, absence of harsh angles and longer radiuses help to shed debris throughout the round.

Dynamic Traxion AC  spikes, which have polished surfaces that diminish clogging and improve grip. The DTAC spikes are low profile and a turf friendly shape that eliminates spike marks. The legs of the spikes are flexible, improving grip, comfort, and durability. The DTAC spikes will be installed in every golf shoe that adidas produces starting in 2007.

The base was widened by 6mm and lowered-promoting an even greater stability throughout the swing platform when compared with the Tour 360.

ClimaProof – A lining layer wicks away sweat perspiration to the shoe’s surface to keep the foot cool and dry while a membrane layer keeps moisture out, providing 100% waterproof protection.

TPU Toe Guard – Protects the leather from the normal wear and tear on the toe that occurs during the follow-through.

“The original Tour 360 raised the bar for stability beyond any other shoe in the game, but we felt we could advance our leadership position further,” says Merle Marting, senior vice president of adidas Golf. “We’ve created a shoe that will instill even more confidence in the athlete by creating a tour-level hitting platform like no other.”
