Mizuno MP-T Wedge review
Last updated:
Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged Wedge range has been updated with the introduction of the new Teardrop Design MP-T Series.
The MP-T Series offers golfers the same consistent, solid-yet-soft feel as every other Mizuno forging. Adding this new series to the already successful MP-R series improves Mizuno’s position in the wedge category by providing a full line of forged wedges, all with a variety of head shapes, finishes and sole designs.
Same as previous wedges, the MP-T series wedge will feature CNC Max Milled square grooves for precise ball control and optimum spin. Each wedge is Grain Flow Forged from 1025E PURE SELECT mild carbon steel – the secret behind that infamous “Mizuno feel”.
The Series will be available in both a Black Nickel and a Chrome finish.
Andy Kikidas stated: “Every golfer is looking for touch, feel and consistency in their chip, pitch and sand shots which is why a forged wedge is far superior than a cast model…the MP-T series is everything you could ask for from a wedge.”
The wedges will be available in 47, 51, 53, 56, 58 and 60 degrees. the wedges also come in a variety of bounce configurations. The standard shaft will be the True Temper Dynamic Gold R300/S300 and the standard grip will be the exclusive Mizuno/Golf Pride M-21 58. Other shafts and grips will be available through Mizuno’s custom-fitting programme.
