Sept4 FedExCup Point Leaders

There are now just 70 players left in the battle for the FedEx Cup and the $10million prize.

The second round of the play-off ended on Monday at the Deutsche Bank with Phil Mickelson winning and topping the points standings.

The remaing 70 (listed below) will do battle at the BMW Championship in Chicago on Thursday and then the final 30 will play in the Tour Players Championship in Atlanta in just over a week’s time.

Justin Rose may have missed the cut at last week’;s event but he is still 23rd in the points table. He’ll need to perfrom well this week to stay in the top 30. Padraig Harrington is 25th, Luke Donald is 28th and Ian Poulter 63rd.

Poulter will need a very string finish to lift himslef into the top 20, but he is renowned for performing when the pressure is on…
