Tiger Woods’ wife Elin is suing an Irish magazine that published nude pictures of a blonde and falsely claimed it was her.

The September edition of “The Dubliner” ran the photos alongside a story headlined “Ryder Cup filth for Ireland”.

The magazine said it was satirical, but also falsely linked her to several pornographic websites.

The publishers thought they were on the brink of reaching an agreement with the Woods’ to publish several apologies and donate a large amount to charity.

But Mrs Woods has filed a writ at Dublin’s High Court and has hired an Irish law firm to represent her.

Sources claim they want to close the magazine down, no matter how much it costs.
