Aldrich Potgieter has burst onto the scene as one of the most promising young talents in world golf. After winning The Amateur Championship in 2022 at just 17 years old, Potgieter turned professional and quickly began to make an impact on tour.
The South African claimed his first professional win at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, shooting a final-round 64 to secure a three-shot victory. The win made him one of the youngest champions in Korn Ferry Tour history and underlined his potential at the professional level.
He has continued his early success as he claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the 2025 Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club. He emerged from a three-way tie at -22 to win in a dramatic five-hole playoff, sinking an 18-foot birdie putt on the decisive fifth hole to outduel Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk
This landmark win made him the youngest South African ever to triumph on the PGA Tour and the nineth-youngest winner since 1983 at just 20 years and 9 months old.
