Michael Kim is a winner on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. The Americans’ most recent victory came at the 2025 FedEx Open de France. A final round 65 (-6) was enough for Kim to win by one stroke at 16-under par on only his second season start on the DP World Tour. He became the first American to win the FedEx Open de France since Barry Jaeckel in 1972.
It was a lengthy wait between victories for Kim, with his only other professional win being back in 2018 on the PGA Tour at the John Deere Classic. It’s the most emphatic margin of victory ever recorded at the event, with a winning margin of eight strokes, and it remained the tournament scoring record until 2024.
Kim was a very highly regarded amateur golfer who became the first men’s golfer from Cal to win national player of the year honors when he was named by the Golf Coaches Association of America as the Division I recipient of the 2013 Jack Nicklaus Award.
He also won the Haskins Award, which is given to the national player of the year in men’s college golf, voted by players, coaches, and members of the national media.
Kim is very active on his X (Twitter) account, and it wasn’t long after his victory in France that he updated his profile picture with a very fitting image.
