YES Golf Valerie putter
Last updated:
YES! Golf’s new Valerie putter has claimed its first Tour victory in the hands of Korean ladies star Jeong Jang.
Using YES! Golf’s Valerie putter, rolled in twenty birdies during the 3-day event to finish 15-under-par and just one shot behind the winner, edging out Lindsey Wright of England by one stroke and two places ahead of the intimidating Annika Sorenstam.
Jang credits the master of the C-Groove technology, Harold Swash, for her improved putting.
“My putting is getting really good,” said Jang. “Last year I was nervous and scared with putts inside five feet but after my lesson last winter with Harold I am getting better.”
This was made clear by a sizzling 10-foot putt on the 6th.
Jang began the last day with a one-shot lead over compatriot Kim Song-Hee and two over the ultimate victor Paula Creamer. The two women played a breakneck head-to-head for most of the day, almost pacing each other birdie for birdie until Creamer birdied the last three on the trot.
YES! Golf was second in the putter count during the Fields Open with 29 players using a C-Groove putter. Christina Kim finished T-7th and was using the recently introduced GrooveTube™ putter by YES! Golf.
On the Nationwide Tour, YES! Golf had a company-record 22 players using the putter.
“There is a lot of interest among the players on all the tours for our putters,” said Francis Ricci, president and CEO, YES! Golf. “We just introduced six new models at the PGA Show and several of them are already in use on Tour. 2008 should be another strong year for YES! Golf, both among professional and club golfers.”
Yes! C-Groove putters continue to gain popularity on the professional Tours and in the golf shops. YES! putters are currently used by over 200 Tour professionals worldwide and recorded 28 wins in 2007. YES! Golf currently has 24 models of C-Groove putters.
