Galvin Green clothing will be protecting the “Internationals” from the elements at this years Presidents Cup after being named official outerwear sponsor for the event.
The “rest of the world” team will be under the stewardship of captain Greg Norman when they take on the United States in San Francisco in October.
The team could include Masters champion Angel Cabrera, South Africans Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Tim Clark and Rory Sabatini, plus Vijay Singh (Fiji), Geoff Ogilvy (Australia), Camilo Villegas (Columbia), K.J. Choi (S. Korea) and Mike Weir (Canada).
As well as facing Fred Couples’ team they will also endure uncertain weather conditions on America’s west coast and Norman specifically requested that his team be kitted out in Galvin Green outerwear to give them the best protection available.
Christian Nilsson, managing director of Galvin Green, added: “For our outwear garments to be selected purely on merit shows how well they are regarded by the world’s top golfers. The combination of innovative technologies and lightweight fabrics give Galvin Green clothing unparalleled comfort and freedom of movement, and we hope they help provide the International team with a decisive edge come October.”
