Yonex Ezone Composite iron: First hit

If you’re desperate to get some more distance from your irons, Yonex’s new Ezone Composite irons might be just spot on for you.

Engineers have developed the new product to be longer than their previous Yonex irons, with the new Composite irons up to eight yards longer, according to the manufacturer.

The low centre of gravity has resulted in an expanded sweetspot and the fact that the irons are longer than before means players can be confident using a shorter club than they might be used to.

But there’s also a great deal of feel to the irons too, with a shock absorbing sheet in place to give golfers better feedback, while a tungsten weight in the sole of the club means golfers will achieve high and powerful ball flights.

We flew to Orlando for the launch of these new irons in January – watch the video below to see what our initial thoughts were on the new product.
