Mizuno JPX wedge range created for set consistency

Mizuno have unveiled a new JPX wedge range to complement their existing range of JPX-800 irons.
The company say consistency of set progression from irons is an important aspect of getting the right club set up and that’s why they’ve launched the JPX line to sit alongside existing wedge ranges the MP T-11 and the MP R-12.
The JPX wedges feature a slightly larger head and a more rounded toe and leading edge while also featuring a subtle cavity in the rear of the head for a little more forgiveness.
They feature the same Quad Cut grooves as the other wedge line with the same loft-specific groove shape. This means the grooves are deeper and narrower in stronger lofts and wider and shallower in weaker lofts for maximum spin, depending on the type of shot you are likely to play with each club.
Unlike the MP range of wedges, the JPX range is made from cast steel, which is cheaper to produce and indicates that these are aimed at the golfer who places more of a premium on value, performance and forgiveness rather than feel.
The JPX wedge is available from 50-60 degree at two degree increments and has an RRP of £XX.
