Tiger on the range late on Wednesday with Sean Foley
Last updated:
Late on Wednesday afternoon, when most of the field had left the course, world number 7 Tiger Woods could be seen working on his swing on the practise ground.
Most players hope that by the time Wednesday afternoon comes around, their games are in decent shape; so it must be a bit disturbing for Tiger-fans that he was seen endlessly poring over video tape of his swing, so late in the day.
Woods has said he is satisfied his game is in the right place to win his 15th major championship this week; and has been involved in an somewhat unseemly spat with England’s Ian Poulter, who suggested he didn’t think the American former world number one would finish in the top-5.
And yet, Tiger remains second favourite for the Tournament, at 9-1, behind favourite Mickelson (8-1).
At the end of the week, one of either Poulter or Woods are going to leave Augusta National with egg on their face. It is not the first time the outspoken Poulter has got underneath Tiger’s skin.
