He’s a PGA Tour winner who’s come agonisingly close in the majors, and now he’s a Ryder Cup star – but who is Cameron Young’s wife? Meet Kelsey Dalition.

Since reaching the PGA Tour in 2021 and immediately winning Rookie of the Year, it’s been a case of when and not if Cameron Young would etch his name into the history books and lift a trophy on the big stage.

It took longer than many of us expected, with Young knocking on the door countless times, including at all four majors, before he finally sprinted over the line at the 2025 Wyndham Championship to secure a six-shot win. The victory proved key in securing a debut in the Ryder Cup as part of Keegan Bradley’s US team for Bethpage Black.

Cameron Young will take home the winner's share of the Wyndham Championship prize money.

He’ll be joined there, as he has throughout his journey to the top, by Kelsey Dalition. Young’s wife has been a quiet but constant presence, so let’s find out a little bit more about her, their relationship and their family.

Who is Cameron Young’s wife?

Young and Dalition’s relationship dates back to their days at Wake Forest University, where they both studied, but they’d known each other for most of their lives. They got engaged in 2019, when Young was still grinding through the amateur and developmental circuits, before marrying in a private ceremony in 2021 when Young was just 23 years old. The American star’s former caddie Scott McKean was given the honour of being best man.

It wasn’t long after tying the knot that the couple became parents. Their first child, Henry, arrived in 2022, while the Youngs were still living with Cameron’s parents in Jupiter, Florida, as he established himself on the PGA Tour.

In 2023, Young surprised fans when he arrived for the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club minus his famous beard – a suggestion made by Kelsey.

“Honestly, my wife just kind of said, why don’t you shave. It wasn’t like … I don’t think I looked terrible. I don’t know,” Young said. “Yeah, I haven’t been clean-shaven probably since our first son was born.”

Later that same year, and with his career having taken off, Young and Dalition purchased a home of their own in the same area of Florida as his parents, where they still live today. John, their second son, followed in late 2023, and their daughter Vivienne was born soon afterwards, giving them three children under the age of four.

Despite the challenges of raising a young family while managing the demands of tour life, Young has often spoken about how important his wife and the children are in keeping him balanced.

“Honestly, they’ve been out with me the last couple weeks and it’s been such a nice change of pace to be with them on the road,” he explained. “I think it just keeps you a little fresher. You get off the course and you can kind of forget about golf a little bit, which is really nice.”

Dalition, for her part, doesn’t come from a golfing background, something Young has admitted works in his favour.

“I played hockey for her dad and with her brother. They’re not a golf family at all so Kelsey is kind of still learning the ropes,” he said.

“It’s actually great for me, because the last thing I want to do when I get home is answer questions like, ‘Why’d you pull a 9-iron on 16?’ That would make my head explode, so that’s been a blessing.”

While Dalition keeps a low profile away from social media, she has been present for some of the family-friendly traditions of the game. She and Henry have both taken part in the Masters Par-3 Contest, where the sight of a toddler in all-white caddie overalls charmed fans. In 2025, she was caught on camera at the Genesis Invitational practice rounds with all three children, underlining how family is increasingly part of Cameron’s tour life.

Her influence extends beyond childcare and support. Ahead of the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill, Young surprised fans by turning up without his trademark beard. When asked about the decision, he admitted: “Honestly, my wife just kind of said, why don’t you shave.” It was a throwaway comment, but it captured the kind of easy balance they share.

Young has also been candid about how much he values time away from the course with his family. “I have spent a lot of time with my family, my wife. We have a little baby, so spent a lot of family time, which has been great,” he told Golf Digest in 2022 during a break from competition.

It’s clear that while golf is Young’s career, life at home is the anchor.
