Ecco reveal tech-packed Biom G5 golf shoe

The new Ecco Biom G5 golf shoes.

Ecco have taken their trailblazing Biom range to a new level with the launch of the G5, a tech-packed spiked golf shoe that headlines the brand’s AW22 range.

Inspired by the Biom G3 and Biom H4, G5 utilises Ecco’s industry-leading technologies to provide advanced, athletic performance in a premium, progressive and sporty design.

G5 is designed for year-round stability thanks to Zarma-Tour spiked and hybrid grooves and, as you’d expect from Ecco shoes, world-renowned Gore-Tex construction that provides 100% waterproofing and excellent breathability.

The updated Biom Natural Motion last, originally developed by Ecco by scanning more than 2,500 feet, offers additional support and control while enabling natural movement around the course.

Crafted from Ecco Performance Leather and a sporty mesh, the G5 comes with a choice of a laced or BOA Fit System. The low toe profile gives it a sleeker silhouette.

Another key feature of the shoes is Ecco’s Fluidform Direct Comfort Technology, which is designed to balance cushioning and rebound, while creating an integral, flexible and durable bond.

There are ten styles – five men’s and five women’s – along with a custom version, which has been designed by Ecco ambassador Lydia Ko and features hibiscus flowers in homage to South Korea, her country of birth, and silver ferns, as a nod to New Zealand, where she grew up.

“The Biom G5 has been yet another fantastic achievement in design and innovation for us at Ecco Golf,” said Andrzej Bikowski, Head of Design. “Following the huge success of Biom G3 and Biom H4, the next iteration of our cleated Biom series needed to be a true step-up in both comfort and technology, and this is something we truly feel we’ve achieved with the Biom G5.”

The men’s Biom G5 BOA is available in steel/black, white/black and white/regatta, while the women’s comes in white, misty and black. Both have an RRP of £220.

The men’s laced version comes in black/steel and white/blue depths, while the women’s comes in black and white. Both have an RRP of £210.
