Most golfers never get a sniff of a hole-in-one but Kent player Glen Morgan has amazingly just achieved the feat…two days running!

The 51-year-old Dale Hill GC member, who has been playing for 35 years and plays off 10, incredibly got his aces while playing in the club’s Little Cup and in the Mixed Invitation the next day.

Officials at the club were delighted when Morgan reported his first hole-in-one on the Saturday, but could not believe it when he came in the very next day saying that he had repeated the feat.

Morgan claimed his two perfect shots on the 216-yard par-3 2nd hole and the 141-yard par-3 9th on the Old Course, with an eight-iron and three-wood respectively.

Morgan said: “I couldn’t believe it when I got my hole-in-one on Saturday but to then go out and do it again the very next day was very special.

“It is certainly something that I am going to remember and is definitely the highlight of my golfing year.

“The guys in the pro shop couldn’t believe it when I came in and told them I had just got another hole-in-one. The look on their faces was brilliant.”

John Tolliday, director of golf at Dale Hill, said: “Congratulations from everyone at Dale Hill to Glen. A lot of golfers never experience a hole-in-one in their entire golfing life, so it was not surprising that he finished third and first in the competitions!”

Amazingly they are the third and fourth holes-in-one of his golfing career with the first coming on the 4th hole at Beauport Park in 1984, and the second on the 10th hole of the Woosnam course at Dale Hill, shortly after it opened in 1997.
