In our robot test, we were very impressed with the performance of the Tour X - especially off the tee - it's one of the best golf balls based on cost per yard. Considering this ball can challenge the best golf balls played by the best professionals in the game, being so reasonably priced makes this comfortable one of the best value golf balls in the game.

TaylorMade's incredibly popular golf balls among amateur golfers
If you have a quick swing speed these balls may not work too well for you because of the 70 compression rating. However, I personally have no issue getting this ball to perform and my swing speed suits a ball with a much higher compression rating. Also, around the greens, the Tour Response is very responsive.
If the Tour Response doesn't sound like the balls for you, it's worth considering TaylorMade's Soft Response golf balls which are also very good value for money - being one of the best cheap golf balls.

Just like the Chrome Soft, the ERC Soft is very responsive around the greens and has an incredibly soft feel. There isn't much difference in compression between the two golf balls so it's unlikely you'll notice any major lack or gain in distance off the tee. This is definitely a ball to try for anyone who plays with a premium golf ball but doesn't have the fastest swing speed.
